UK – Northern Trust Global Investments has made two new appointments to its European institutional client service team.
NTGI said last week that it is becoming more involved in Europe, with a number of deals in the pipeline.
Thomas Day and Ian Davidson are to join the team in London as investment relationship managers, and will be responsible for maintaining and developing existing client relationships. They will report to Lesley Hodgson, head of client services.
Day joins NTGI from Merrill Lynch Investment Managers in London, where he was most recently a director in the institutional client relationship management team, responsible for clients with combined assets of approximately two billion pounds.
Davidson joins from Britannic Asset Management in Glasgow where he was a client manager in the institutional team, responsible for clients with total assets also of around two billion pounds.
Hodgson says the appointments are “consistent with Northern Trust’s high-touch approach to client servicing and proof of our commitment to develop our investment relationship management capabilities in Europe”.
As of September 30 this year, Northern Trust had assets under management of 435.7 billion dollars.
