UK – Northern Trust Global Investments has hired Gartmore’s Kate Harper as a director of institutional sales.
Harper was head of the institutional direct sales team at Gartmore. A Gartmore spokesman said she hadn’t been directly replaced. He said sales operations have been moved closer together under head of global institutional sales Frances Davies.
NTGI said Harper would focus on “building new relationships with consultants, local authorities and corporate pension funds” in Europe.
Kate joins a team of six and will report to Gordon Hogarth, head of business development at Northern Trust Global Investments Europe.
“She has invaluable contacts and is widely recognised for her proven experience and highly successful track record in creating and developing new business opportunities in the UK institutional market place,” Hogarth said.
“Kate’s appointment reflects NTGIE’s commitment to the UK institutional sector, where we see many potential opportunities for NTGIE unfolding during the next twelve months.”
