US - Ronald O’Kelley, executive vice president and chief financial officer of Boston-based State Street Corporation, has left the company for personal reasons. Stefan Gavell, executive vice president, will take over the role of CFO on an interim basis.

Says David Spina, chairman and chief executive of State Street: “Ron has been an invaluable member of our team since joining the company in 1994. I appreciate the significant contributions he’s made to the success of State Street.”

Gavell joined State Street in 1990 and has most recently been responsible for the company’s global financial markets and securities trading infrastructure. As acting CFO he will retain his position as chairman of its investment committee.
