Columbia Threadneedle Investments – The global asset manager announced the retirement of Colin Moore as global chief investment officer after nearly 20 years at the firm.

Consistent with the company’s long-standing succession planning, William Davies, currently EMEA CIO and global head of equities, will become global CIO upon Moore’s retirement in January 2022.

Moore has played a key role in shaping Columbia Threadneedle’s global investment capability, including its investment process based on collaboration across asset classes, research intensity and independent oversight to foster continuous improvement.

Under his leadership, Columbia Threadneedle has generated consistently strong long-term investment performance for individual and institutional clients.


Insurance & Pension Denmark (IPD) – Peter Krejberg Nielsen has been appointed as the new chief financial officer of Danish industry association Insurance & Pension Denmark (Forsikring & Pension, IPD), and will be responsible for the organisation’s overall finances. He will be tasked with developing and implementing a new financial model for IPD, the group said.

Krejberg Nielsen comes from LB Forsikring, where he has been CFO and in charge of the Danish mutual insurer’s finance and facility management department. He is replacing Bo Scheel at IPD, who is retiring this autumn after working as the association’s CFO for more than 35 years.

IPD also said that in his new job – which he is due to take up on 16 August – Krejberg Nielsen would have a central position in the development of the association’s industry solutions, and in the overall management of IPD.


Neuberger BermanOliver Little has been appointed to the new role of head of UK insurance solutions at Neuberger Berman, effective 1 July 2021.

Reporting to Gilles Drukier, head of insurance solutions EMEA, Little will construct and execute sales strategies on Neuberger Berman’s significant product offering leveraging its London-based insurance analytics team, with the objective of expanding the group’s insurance footprint in the UK.

Little joins from JP Morgan Asset Management, where he was a UK client advisor for the group’s global insurance solutions business for more than five years. Prior to this, he spent eight years as an infantry officer in the British army and currently mentors interns with military backgrounds, encouraging them to pursue careers in finance.


Pensions-Sicherungs-Verein VVaG (PSVaG) – Richard Nicka, vice president benefits at chemical company BASF and chair of the management board for the BASF Pensionskasse, has been elected as member of the supervisory board for the Pensions-Sicherungs-Verein VVaG (PSVaG), the mutual insurance association for German occupational pension schemes.

The PSVaG also elected as members of its supervisory board Claudia Andersch, Jörg Asmussen, Klaus Bräunig, Gerhard F. Braun, Brigitte Faust, Reinhard Göhner, Alexander Gunkel, Ingo Kramer, Janina Kugel, Rudolf Muhr and Andreas Wimmer.


Talanx - Sven Lixenfeld will take over responsibilities for life insurance and investment in the private and corporate insurance division at the German insurer, effective on 1 September. He succeeds Patrick Dahmen.

Lixenfeld will become chair of the management board of HDI Lebensversicherung and a member of the management board of HDI Deutschland. He has many years of experience in the field of private and company pension schemes, life insurance and cooperation with banks.

He previously served at the Boston Consulting Group and SV SparkassenVersicherung.


MEAGJanina Lichnofsky is taking over the position of head of ESG at Munich Re’s and ERGO’s asset manager MEAG, effective 1 July. In her new role, Lichnofsky will work directly with Michael Bös, chief investment officer for alternative assets.

Lichnofsky has served so far as senior specialist sustainability at MEAG. Prior to that she held various positions, including management positions, at ISS ESG Institutional Shareholder Services. Most recently, she oversaw institutional clients in German-speaking countries.


AMF – Per Wiklund, deputy chief executive officer and administrative manager of AMF Fonder – the fund management division of Swedish pension fund AMF – has been appointed as the new acting CEO of the business, replacing Cecilia Ardström. Ardström became acting CEO last autumn, replacing the previous CEO Jonas Eliasson.

AMF Fonder said a new permanent CEO would be presented at the beginning of the autumn, and that Ardström would be staying at the company as a member of its board.


Publica – Switzerland’s largest pension fund has appointed Jorge Serra, secretary of the Swiss union representing employees in the public service – Verband des Personals öffentlicher Dienste (VPOD) – as the new president of its board of directors.

Kaspar Müller, deputy secretary general of the Federal Department of Environment, Transport, Energy and Communication (DETEC), was elected as vice president of the board by the Federal Council to represent the employers.

Publica also elected Cipriano Alvarez of the Federal Housing Office, and Nicolas Schmidt, a specialist in sustainable consumption and products at the Federal Office for the Environment (FOEN), as employee representatives in the investment committee.

Matthias Weber, external asset manager, and Bruno Parnisari, deputy director of the Federal Social Insurance Office, were elected as employer representatives.

Petra Maurer, Lagger Valentin and Natascha Wey are the new employee representatives in the audit committee, while Peter Schwendener, Dieter Künzli and Gian Andrea Badrutt represent employers.

Publica also elected Mahide Aslan and Eliane Albisser as members of the pension policy and law committee, representing employees, while Rahel von Kaenel and Jean Pirrotta are the new employer representatives.


Redhedge Asset Management – The investment manager has announced that Raj Dutta has joined the London team as its new head of business development.

Based in the firm’s head office, Dutta will focus on managing Redhedge’s existing and future client relationships globally. He has more than 25 years of experience in fixed income credit sales and business development roles at blue-chip institutions, having developed strong relationships globally, with a deep expertise in alternative credit solutions. Previous firms have included Salomon Brothers, Goldman Sachs, Union Bancaire Privee, Oxford Asset Management and Lombard Odier.


International Capital Market Association (ICMA)Bryan Pascoe will take over from Martin Scheck as chief executive of the influential association, home of the secretariat of the Green Bond Principles and other key frameworks.

Pascoe will formally take up the role on 6 September. He has 28 years of international experience spanning investment and corporate banking in London, Hong Kong and Dubai. He was most recently global head of client coverage in HSBC’s commercial banking division, having previously held the role of group treasurer and head of asset, liability and capital management through 2015 and 2016. 


Association of the Luxembourg Fund Industry (ALFI) – The association announced the re-election of Corinne Lamesch as the chair of ALFI following its annual general meeting. The appointment is effective immediately and her second mandate will run for two years.

In addition, a new board of directors has been elected.

In line with the ALFI Ambition 2025, the association will continue to focus on the key objectives set out in 2020.
