UK- Specialist investment manager Pictet Asset Management has appointed Jonathan Hayes as head of business development for the UK and Northern Europe.

Based in London, he will report to Rod Hearn, chief executive of global business development, when he starts at the beginning of next month.

Hayes joins from Bank of Ireland Asset Management (BIAM) where he spent ten years, most recently as head of business development for institutional and retail clients.

Prior to this, he was responsible for BIAM's international business development for markets including the Southern Europe, Africa, the Far East. and the Channel Islands,

Pictet Asset Management is the institutional asset management arm of the Swiss private bank Pictet et Cie and assets in excess of £21bn.
