**Morley appoints new manager for pooled funds**
UK – Lyndsey Pilling has joined Morley Pooled Pensions as manager of the firm’s pooled funds team.
Pilling previously worked for Northern Trust Global Investments (NTGI) as second vice president and investment relationship manager. At Morley, she will be responsible for pooled fund sales and her appointment follows a series of socially responsible investment (SRI) fund launches by Morley earlier this summer.
The new fund range comprises managed, UK equity and global equity portfolios and will be managed in-house. They are available to both defined benefit and defined contribution schemes in the UK.
**Mcdonald to head up Dresdner RCM global equities**
UK – Dresdner RCM Global Investors has appointed Lucy Mcdonald director and head of global equities in London.
Mcdonald will join in October and report to chief investment officer for global equities, Mark Phelps.
She joins from Baring Asset Management, where she worked for 16 years in various roles, such as co-head of UK team and head of global media and telecoms. She was recently instrumental in launching Baring Leading Sectors fund.
**Boyd rejoins Watson Wyatt**
UK – Gareth Boyd has rejoined Watson Wyatt as senior consultant for the benefit’s division.
Boyd, a qualified actuary, left Watson Wyatt in 1997 after six years to work in human capital services for Arthur Anderson before moving on to Hymans Robertson.
**State Street appoints Pennings to recapture business**
UK – State Street Corporation has appointed Edward Pennings as head of sales for securities trading in Europe.
Pennings, to be based in London, will be responsible for State Street’s commission recapture business and for selling transition management services throughout Europe.
He joins from Lynch, Jones & Ryan, where he was vice president of European sales.
