German insurer, Allianz has confirmed that it is in discussion with American company PIMCO Advisors Holdings regarding a possible acquisition by Allianz.
Although an agreement has not been reached, the current discussions envisage a cash deal.
PIMCO says it will remain operationally autonomous under any conceivable combination. It does not contemplate any changes in the company’s management or in the investment process, portfolio management or client servicing should agreement be reached.
