UK – Actuarial consultant Punter Southall has brought in John Howard-Smith, a former senior director at HSBC Investment Management to become a principal in the firm’s London office.

Howard-Smith’s initial responsibility will be to assist Punter Southall with the development of PSolve, the firm’s new investment consultancy.

He comments: “It is an exciting time to have joined Punter Southall. The company has a reputation for innovative thinking within the pensions community. At HSBC Howard-Smith specialised in managing portfolios for wealthy private individuals, charities and small pension funds.
