UK – Actuarial consultant Punter Southall has brought in John Howard-Smith, a former senior director at HSBC Investment Management to become a principal in the firm’s London office.

Howard-Smith’s initial responsibility will be to assist Punter Southall with the development of PSolve, the firm’s new investment consultancy.

He comments: “It is an exciting time to have joined Punter Southall. The company has a reputation for innovative thinking within the pensions community. The recent launch of PSolve shows how they are always seeking to improve their client offering. I’m looking forward to getting involved in growing the business.”

At HSBC Howard-Smith specialised in managing portfolios for wealthy private individuals, charities and small pension funds.
