UK - The UK government has awarded the contract for the review of civil servants pension delivery.
PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) was selected by the government from a total of nine companies who bid for the tender.
During the eight-months PwC is contracted for, the firm is to look at the pension delivery model which was set up in the 1990s.
"We're looking to see whether it's still efficient," a spokeswoman for the civil servant scheme told IPE at the time the tender was put out. "Basically, we need to see where we are with it."
PwC will look at the implementation policy, communication with scheme members and pension payments.
Meanwhile, the civil service pension scheme is currently choosing an actuary to oversee the management of its strategy once the final salary scheme has closed to new members.
