R&SA appoints Spanish institutional sales director

SPAIN - Royal & Sun Alliance Investments Luxembourg has appointed Victoria Huerta as sales director for retail and institutional funds in Spain.

In her new role, Huerta will develop business in Spain and Portugal as well as market RSA’s fund management products to Spanish banks, private wealth managers and pension funds.

The appointment reiterates the group’s expansion into Europe, Hong Kong and South Africa. Huerta joins from FTSE International and will report in Madrid to Jaime Requeijo, general manager for Spain and to sales director Jon Allen in London.

Commenting on the appointment Jon Allen said: “Spain is seeing a huge mobilisation in mutual funds and growth in the pension fund industry. Victoria’s appointment will enable us to capitalise on these opportunities.”
