TOP 10 MANAGERS GERMAN INSTITUTIONAL ASSETS (€M)

The IPE Germany Survey 2025 captures €2.1trn in assets managed on behalf of German institutional clients by 80 asset managers, including €438bn belonging to German pension funds. 

The assets managed on behalf of German pension funds have fluctuated in recent years and are more than 15% below the 2022 peak (€520bn). With €62bn of assets, Allianz Global Investors is the leading manager of German pension fund assets, but MEAG leads the ranking of German institutional managers, followed by Union Investment and Allianz GI.
