Robeco has plucked a team of alternative investment specialists from NIB Private Equity – the venture capital joint venture of Dutch superfunds ABP and PGGM, to form part of a new alternative investments business unit.
Ad van den Ouweland, formerly with PGGM before the NIB deal and Harrie Meijers and Mikan van Zanten, both with ABP prior to their move to NIB Private Equity, will form of part of Robeco Alternative Investment’s team - specialising in hedge funds, structured finance and private equity.
The team’s first venture will be the launch of an e500m global private equity fund of funds to the Dutch institutional market.
Van den Ouweland, comments “ This is quite a change both for ourselves and for the companies.
The plan is now to put together the global private equity fund of funds and market it to Dutch institutions.
