NETHERLANDS - Géry Daeninck has been promoted to chairman of Dutch investment manager Robeco Group’s executive committee, to be formalised in January 2002.
The move follows the announcement by current chairman Pieter Korteweg, who has led the group since 1987, that he is to retire at the end of this year.
Daeninck is currently Robeco’s chief finance and operations officer and has been a member of the executive committee since 1997, with responsibility for activities regarding joint ventures and acquisitions.
In a separate move Paul J M Pruymboom has been appointed head of financial institutions relationship management for continental Europe, Middle East and Far East at Dutch custodian KAS-Associatie.
Pruymboom will focus on sub-custody deals in Belgium, France, Germany, the Netherlands and the UK.
Before moving to KAS in 1997 as a senior relationship manager, Pruymboom worked for the ING group.
