FINLAND/SCANDINAVIA – Jarmo Salonen has been promoted to head of investor relations at Helsinki based financial services group Sampo, from September 1.
He succeeds Taru Narvanmaa in the position, after her departure to margarine and chemicals company Raisio Group as head of communications and investor relations, as well as a member of its executive group.
Sampo has also appointed Sten Eklundh as executive vice president and head of investment banking at the group as of September 1. Kurt Lundmark, currently holding the position is resigning from the job.
Salonen was previously senior vice president of corporate planning of life-insurer Sampo Life.
Eklundh is one of the founding partners of Mandatum Bank, recently bought by Sampo, and most recently he was senior vice president and a member of the executive committee of the bank.
