A new internet-based US municipal bond market service has been launched by Standard & Poor’s. It says the service – BrokerWire available on S&P’s BlueList.com – will ease dealers’ access to secondary market brokers’ bids-wanted and offering prices.
BrokerWire, says S&P, lets subscribers sort through participating brokers' bids-wanted and offerings and gives access to brokers' active dollar bond markets.
“In the past, municipal bond dealers were required to browse through pages of data to find the bid-wanted information they required. The BlueList.com BrokerWire now lets dealers easily scan by state, maturity, coupon and block size... to find the municipal bond issues they need,” says Kevin McNally, BlueList.com product manager.
