UK - Former LPFA chief Peter Scales has been appointed as chief executive of Enhanced Analytics Initiative (EAI), which seeks to encourage investment research to look at 'extra-financial' issues.
Scales, who was awarded an OBE earlier this year, stepped down as chief executive officer of the London Pension Fund Authority (LPFA) last year and is currently a board member at EPIC investment advisers.
He will succeed founding EAI member David Blood, who has chaired EAI for the last two years.
A spokeswoman for the initiative explained to IPE it is an revolving chair, which is supposed to be an annual mandate.
Blood will remain involved with EAI, which was founded in October 2004, the spokeswoman added.
EAI, with around €1.9trn assets under management, is an international collaboration of asset owners and asset managers aimed at encouraging investment research that considers the impact of extra-financial issues on long-term company performance.
