BENELUX – Schroders has named Hans Goossens as country head for Benelux, taking a role vacated by Pieter van Daalen in the summer.
“With 15 years experience of the Dutch investment management industry, Hans Goossens joins from Fidelity where he managed the Dutch business for 11 years,” Schroders said in a statement.
“With a thorough knowledge of the Benelux investment market, he is ideally placed to drive our business forward and ensure that we meet the increasingly sophisticated demands of institutional and retail investors alike,” said the firm’s Europe head Gavin Ralston.
Fidelity spokeswoman Anne Read said Raoul van der Lugt has taken over from Goossens. “We will also be adding to the team.”
Goossens said: “I know Schroders as a global firm with a strong reputation for local expertise and industry leading solutions. I am very pleased to join, and look forward to working with the local teams throughout Benelux to deliver value for clients.”
Van Daalen, who was managing director of Schroders Investment Management Benelux, left the firm in July “by mutual consent”. Institutional sales director Willem Jan van Gijzen had been acting as country head.
The Rotterdam-based operation has 14 pension fund clients and six staff, according to ‘International Pension Funds and their Advisors’. It manages 1.5 billion euros for Dutch institutional clients.
