NETHERLANDS – SEI Investments, provider of asset management and investment technology solutions, has appointed Jeroen van Rooij as institutional sales director for the Benelux region.
Van Rooij’s appointment is the latest in a line of European appointments at SEI to support its roll-out into the Continent. The company recently opened offices in Germany and the Netherlands. It is also present in the UK and France, where it provides services to pension funds and insurance companies.
Van Rooij, an econometrician, joins from ING Investment Management where he was heading a team of product specialists. Previously, Van Rooij did stints at the international sales and marketing department for Goldman Sachs Asset Management in London, and at PanAgora Asset Management and Quantec Limited.
He is to report to Bart Heenk, who is managing director for the Benelux and Nordic regions.
Heenk said: “Jeroen’s appointment is testimony to the importance we are placing on SEI’s expansion into Europe.” SEI currently has 22 offices in 12 countries.
He added: “We believe that the Benelux region provides a fertile ground for SEI and have already started to engage with several large pension funds to inform them about our solutions. Jeroen’s experience in the locality will prove invaluable in growing our business.”
