NETHERLANDS – Dick Snijders, chief executive of Schootse Poort, the independent asset manager responsible for managing the assets of Stichting Pensioenfonds Philips, has retired.

Snijders was formerly managing director of Philips pension fund before becoming chief executive of Schootse Poort Pensioen-en Vermogensbeheer. He had been with the fund and its asset manager for ten years before officially retiring from his position 1 April.

He has been replaced by Jan Snippe, former head of asset management at Banque Artesia Nederland. The new head of asset management there is Mr van den Hende.

Philips pension fund saw a change of head itself this year when Wim Van Winden took over from Noud van den Heuvel as managing director.

The fund has around 14 billion euros in assets under management, and Schootse Poort manages around 16 billion euros.
