FRANCE – State Street Global Advisors has appointed Frederic Dodard to the new role of head of balanced portfolio management for Europe.

Dodard currently oversees active equity portfolios in developed and emerging markets in Paris.

The investment management arm of State Street Corp. said Dodard will also retain his role as head of asset allocation for the group’s operations in France.

Dodard, who has been with SSGA in France since 1998, will be given responsibility for asset allocation of portfolio management in Europe.

At the beginning of his career at SSGA he had responsibility for active equity portfolios in developed and emerging markets, and asset allocation strategies.

Before joining SSGA, Dodard was an assistant manager in the Private Banking Division of UBS Limited in London.
