UK - State Street Global Advisors' UK managing director Paul Duncombe is leaving the company to be replaced by European marketing chief Kanesh Lakhani.
Duncombe, SSGA's former foreign exchange head, has only been in the role since April last year when he took over after the unexpected departure of Nigel Wightman.
The firm said Duncombe was leaving to "pursue other opportunities". The UK MD role goes to Lakhani, head of European marketing and consultant relations for the past nine years.
Amid a series of appointments, Mark Lazberger was named president of SSGA's international business. Lakhani will report to him.
Mike Wilson, who currently heads private equity arm SSGA Ventures, will return from Tokyo to London to head for relationship management for top European clients.
Andrew Astley has been appointed chief operating officer for Europe. Greg Ehret will lead all sales and distribution throughout Europe as well as operations in Brussels, Dubai and Italy.
Tony Rochte has joined from Barclays Global Investors to head US intermediary sales and client service,.
"These new organizational alignments and additions position SSGA to meet the increasingly complex challenges of our clients and remain at the forefront of global growth and innovation," said SSGA chief executive Bill Hunt.
