UK – Standard Life Investments, fund management arm for Standard Life Assurance and Standard Life Pension Funds, has named Reg Watson as investment director in the global equities team.

Watson will assist in the management of global equity portfolios. He joins from Threadneedle Investment Managers, where he was a fund manager on the global desk.

At Standard Life, he will report to Lance Phillips, global head of stock selection.

Alasdair MacLean has also been appointed as European credit analyst. He joins from CIBC in London.

Standard Life Investments manages approximately 75 billion pounds in assets.
