UK – Standard Life Investments has hired Graeme Orr from Citigroup as fixed interest investment director as part of its aim of becoming a dominant player in European and global bonds.
“Graeme has been appointed investment director in the fixed interest team where he will help develop a fixed income and currency overlay process to enhance our investment management and portfolio construction process,” the firm said in a statement.
He will join Standard Life from Citigroup Corporate and Investment Bank later this month.
Standard Life Investments manages more than 16 billion pounds (23.6 billion euros) in UK fixed interest and over 21 billion pounds (31 billion euros) in global fixed interest.
Rod Paris, head of global fixed income, said: “His expertise in risk management will be a valuable asset to our fixed income team.”

The unit is part of Standard Life Assurance Co., Europe's largest mutual life assurance company.
