US – State Street Corp. has bought the rest of data analytics firm Elkins/McSherry that it didn’t already own and named James Bryson as interim president.
State Street said it has bought the remaining minority interest in Elkins/McSherry for an undisclosed sum, making it a wholly-owned subsidiary. Bryson is currently Elkins/McSherry’s senior managing director and sales manager.
The firm, which calculates equity trading costs, has operated as a majority-owned subsidiary of the Boston-based bank since 1999.
Co-founder Richard McSherry will continue to work with State Street as a consultant. James Elkins will retire “to manage his personal investments”.
The firm was founded in New York in 1991.
