US – New York based management company, Suffolk Capital Management (SCM), has been selected by major global investment services firm, Frank Russell Company, to manage portions of its five US small cap funds.

The appointment means that SCM now manages over $1.4bn(€1.6bn) within Russell’s manager-of-manager investment complex, the principles of which is to emphasise stock selection whilst providing broad diversification in its 144 funds.

Specifically, SCM will manage portions of the $96m (€110m) FRIC US Small Cap, the $476m MSMM US Small Cap, both of which are mainly open to European investors; the $745m Special Growth fund, $840m Equity II fund, both of which are available US based investors and in which SCM joins eight other manager; and the $110m Aggressive Equity fund, which has seven other managers and is also open to US based investors.

Frank Russell Company has over $70bn in global assets under management, and also advises clients representing more than $1trn worldwide.
