SWEDEN - The €33bn public authority pension fund Alecta has appointed a new chief actuary to take over from Birgen Bjuren, who is to retire in October.
Katarina Thorslund, one of the seven-strong actuary team since 2003, has been promoted to lead the team after Bjuren retires in the autumn. In the meantime Bjuren and Thorslund are leading the team together.
The new appointment is not likely to bring immediate changes, a spokeswoman for Alecta told IPE.
The pension fund has also appointed two new members of the board of directors, Mats Ekeroth and Thoren, who will replace board members Rolf Lundqvist and Erik Menckel, both due to retire.
