SWEDEN - Kerstin Wahlund and Håkan Sandberg have been appointed as new members of the board of SPP Livförsäkring AB, the former mutually owned pension insurance group that’s now part of Svenska Handelsbanken.
The move took place at the annual general meeting on May 31, the bank said today.
Wahlund is benefit manager at NCC Construction Sverige AB and a member of the board of PRI Pensionstjänst, Handelsbanken said. He succeeds vice chairman Rolf Lundqvist who is stepping down after six years on the board.
"The appointment of Kerstin Wahlund further strengthens our board in terms of both customer perspective and skills in the pensions field," said SPP chairman Björn Andersson.
Sandberg is executive vice president at Handelsbanken and vice chairman of Handelsbanken's pension foundations.
SPP was demutualised on January 1 this year and was consolidated within the Handelsbanken Group with Handelsbanken Liv in its Pension and Insurance business area.
Michael Zell was named chief executive of the two earlier this year.
SPP also includes SPP Liv Fondförsäkring, SPP Liv Pensionstjänst and SPP Konsult.
