UK - Scottish Widows Investment Partnership has named Nigel Bolton as head of European equities.
SWIP said he joins in January from wealth management firm WP Stewart, where he was head of European investment. Before that he was head of European equities at Citigroup Asset Management. He will report to Graham Wood, chief investment officer of equities.
Wood said: "With over 13 years fund management experience and a background in analysis, Nigel will be a valuable addition to the team.
"The European equity team at SWIP work on the fundamental principle of conducting their own research to seek out the true value in a stock - this is something which attracted Nigel to the position and something which he is keen to develop further."
SWIP, part of Lloyds TSB, has 73 billion pounds under management.
