SWITZERLAND - Adrian Wipf has been appointed head of asset management at the Swiss BVK, the civil servants' pension fund for the canton of Zurich.
Wipf will replace Daniel Gloor, who was sacked following his arrest on suspicion of corruption in June.
The new head of asset management will start at the BVK on 1 March next year.
Before joining the pension fund, Wipf was with Swisscanto Asset Management for four years and Julius Baer Investment Funds Services for 10 years.
Currently, he is part of the Ecofin group in Zurich, responsible for Pensionskassen and the creation of an index-based investment solution for institutional investors.
The regional government of the canton has now appointed Wipf to relieve Thomas Liebi of his duties as interim head of asset management.
