EUROPE- T. Rowe Price Global Investment Services has added to its European team with the appointment of Christian Elsmark as a vice president with responsibilities across Europe for client services, sales, product specialisation and management.

Prior to joining T. Rowe Price, Elsmark was head of investment product management for the European equity group at JP Morgan Fleming IM and, before that, he was responsible for continental European institutional business development at Rothschild Asset Management.

Thomas Pedersen, managing director of T. Rowe Price Global Investment Services, says the appointment reflects a continued commitment to developing the European side of the business.

At the beginning of the year T. Rowe launched its Luxembourg SICAV with nine sub-funds and since the creation of a European sales and client servicing arm in January 2001, the team has grown to 20 people in London and Copenhagen.
