NETHERLANDS – TKP Investments has named SNS Asset Management research chief Roelie van Wijk as chief executive, chief investment officer and president of the investment board.
Van Wijk, 42, is the successor to Jan Willem Baan, who was appointed CIO at the Doctors Pension Fund Services in October 2005.
“She will be responsible for all our investments,” said a spokesperson for TKP. She starts on June 1.
Van Wijk is a former trading desk head and fixed income senior portfolio manager at the Philips pension fund, and investment manager fixed income and treasury at PGGM.
She will head up a three-strong board, which includes TKP Pensioen chief executive Hans Hokke, and new appointment Robert Leenes.
Leenes, 40, was formerly an equity manager at TKPI. However, he has now been appointed investment administration head. Until now, the board has consisted of only two members.
According to a statement, van Wijk’s appointment is subject to approval by the Dutch financial regulator, AFM.
TKPI – part of TKP Pensioen - is a wholly owned subsidiary of AEGON Netherlands.
In other news, Doctors Pension Funds Services has appointed C.M. van der Werf-de Koning as the fifth member of the supervisory board. Other board members include B. de Vries (president), J.H.M. Lindenbergh, W.P. Moleveld and J.T. van Niekerk.
