NETHERLANDS - Frans de Beaufort has been appointed chief executive at TKP Pensioen, the pensions provider owned by Aegon.

De Beaufort, 40, will take over from Hans Hokke, who will take early retirement at his own request as of January 1, the company added.

De Beaufort, who will take up his job as of December 1, is currently director of corporate development at Kendrion NV, a supplier of industrial components and distribution services.

At Kendrion, de Beaufort is responsible for business development, legal matters and European expansion, TKP added.

TKP Pensioen is a full subsidiary of insurer Aegon Netherlands. It acts as a pensions provider, and offers administration, asset management and advisory services to pension funds.

The Groningen-based provider carries out schemes for seven companies, e.g. telecom provider KPN, postal provider TNT and General Electric, with 220.000 workers in total.

Moreover, TKP Pensioen manages assets of over €9bn for some of its clients in a multi-managerial style, it stated.
