UK – Regional publishing group Newsquest has appointed Towers Perrin as actuaries to its pension fund, which has over 4,000 members.

No details about the size of the fund are available.

Towers replaces PricewaterhouseCoopers as scheme actuaries.

Newsquest is the largest regional publisher in England and Wales, employing some 8,000 staff, producing 300 newspapers as well as numerous magazines. It also has 27 internet sites.
