GLOBAL - SNPF, Carmignac, STOXX, RBC Wealth Management

SNPF - Eric Uijen has been appointed director of the €1bn occupational pension fund for notaries (SNPF) in the Netherlands, as of 1 September. Currently, Uijen is director of the pension fund of the industrial conglomerate Stork. At SNPF, he will succeed Gerard Sirks, who acted as interim director after the departure of Max Muntinga last year. In September 2011, SNPF set up a 'pensions council' as the focal point of its new board and governance structure. Consisting of 10-20 active participants and pensioners, the council is responsible for all pension arrangements. It also assesses the functioning of the board and appoints members of the oversight body.

Carmignac Gestion - Markus Kulessa has joined the European equities team as an analyst at the beginning of this month. Kulessa, who will report to the head of the team, Laurent Ducoin, built up his analytical experience in the mergers and acquisitions department at KPMG in Frankfurt and, prior to that, Société Générale and Wachovia Securities in London.
 
STOXX - Anthony Da Costa and Mark Rodino have been appointed chief operating officer and global head of sales, respectively. In his new position, Da Costa will be responsible for index production and operations. He is part of the management board, which also includes Hartmut Graf, chief executive, and Patrick Valovic, CFO. Da Costa will be based in Zurich. Rodino joins STOXX as global head of sales, based in London, where he will be responsible for coordinating sales activities globally across the sell-side and buy-side.

RBC Wealth Management - Ben Taylor has been appointed director and relationship manager on the London-based Middle East and Levant desk. Taylor will be in charge of extending reach into the Middle Eastern markets, with a specific focus on Abu Dhabi and Oman. He joins from HSBC Private Bank in London, where since 2010 he was a relationship manager for the MENA region.
