UK – Kim Clegg, finance director at the Government Actuary’s Department, is to leave her post to join another government department.

Clegg, a member of the GAD’s five-strong management board, is to join the Department for Work and Pensions’ Jobcentreplus, an official said.

She’d been with GAD for around five years and the move was a “normal career progression”.

The GAD is currently recruiting her replacement. The role, which is envisaged as a three-year secondment, carries a salary of up to £57,200 (€83,000).

The move follows a shake-up at the department which saw its national population projections arm transferred to the Office for National Statistics last month.

The GAD provides consultancy services to government departments and the public sector in the UK and abroad. It has an annual turnover of around £9.5m and 104 staff.
