UK – The London Borough of Newham is looking to appoint a private equity manager to invest between £5-15m (e8-24m) in a private equity fund of funds mandate.

The borough says it will also consider dividing the brief into more than one lot, according to the tenders, and is looking to short-list four to ten successful fund managers before making a decision.

Glasgow based Hymans Robertson Actuaries and Consultants is acting as consultant to the fund during the tendering process.

The deadline for submissions is May 18, 2001.
