SWITZERLAND/UK – Geneva-based alternative investment management group, Unigestion, has made three senior appointments to its teams in London and Geneva.
Andrew Marchant and Paul Newsome have joined the company’s London office as adviser to the private equity group and investment director respectively, whilst Christian Gobet has joined Geneva as a member of the private equity portfolio management team.
Marchant most recently worked at European buy-out firm, Cinven, where he was a director and shareholder between 1988 and 2001. He has also served as a partner in Schroder Ventures and as an executive at Prudential Venture Managers.
Newsome will be responsible for venture capital and telecoms investments. He joins from BancBoston’s European technology group where he was also responsible for venture capital investments.
Gobet joins from BNP Paribas in Switzerland and has also worked at UBS.
Unigestion currently manages over €3bn in asset for institutional clients across Europe. It is active in the hedge funds, private equity, high yield bonds and multi-manager markets.
