UK – Consultant Watson Wyatt has appointed noted academic Michael Orszag to a new role within the group as head of research.
Orszag’s responsibilities will include co-ordinating new research initiatives and developing links with academic and international organisations.
In the past year he has worked with consultancy London Economics on the review of polarisation of investment advice for the FSA, as well as for the Nordic Council of Ministers on pension reform in the Nordic countries.
Orszag also recently held a position in academia at Birkbeck College, University of London, where he focused on issues relating to personnel economics, pensions and insurance.
He was also instrumental in developing the Centre for Pensions and Social Insurance.
