UK - David Hoile, head of Aon Consulting’s UK investment research division, has quit to join Watson Wyatt Investment Consulting’s asset research team.
Hoile joins Watson Wyatt as a senior investment consultant after eight years at Aon.
Before this, he lectured Finance and Statistics at Manchester Business School for three years, where he also studied for a doctorate in Financial Economics.
Hoile will report to investment strategy head Chris Ford, and global investment committee chair Robert Brown.
His experience covers general investment consulting, but specifically asset modeling and investment manager research.
And he’ll work with Watson’s global manager research team headed by Craig Baker, and the Thinking Ahead Group under Roger Urwin
“I am very pleased to welcome David to the firm,” said Watson Wyatt’s European investment consulting chief Kevin Carter.
“He joins us at a time when we are expanding our research effort significantly, particularly asset class research, to satisfy clients’ requirements for asset diversity and alpha-generation opportunities.”
Earlier this month, Watson Wyatt Worldwide announced it had hired Yakoub Yakoubov from Aon.
