UK – Watson Wyatt Worldwide says it has hired Yakoub Yakoubov from rival Aon Consulting.

“Yakoub Yakoubov has joined Watson Wyatt’s expanding investment consulting business in its global investment systems team,” Watson said.

It said he was previously head of investment modelling at Aon, which he joined in 1998.

He’ll be a senior investment consultant, reporting to Mark Beardall, global head of investment systems.

“I am very pleased to welcome Yakoub to the firm,” said Roger Urwin, global head of investment consulting.

“He joins us at a very exciting time in our industry, particularly in the growing investment strategy area, and we look forward to working with him to enhance these services to clients.”

Watson said Yakoub’s experience covers asset-liability modeling, risk budgeting and capital market research as well as fund analytics.
