UK – Pensions consultancy form Watson Wyatt has hired the head of global equities from Friends Ivory & Sime to be a senior consultant in the UK.

“Watson Wyatt has appointed Debbie Clarke as a senior investment consultant,” Watson said in a statement. “Debbie, who joins from Friends Ivory and Sime, will commence work in May by joining one of the firm's Reigate-based pension fund consulting teams.”

Clarke will advise some of Watson Wyatt's major investment consulting clients and supporting the firm's global manager research effort, the firm said.

"I am delighted that Debbie has decided to join us,” said Nick Watts, the firm’s European head of investment consulting. “She brings with her nearly 20 years of experience in the investment industry, both from an asset management and people management perspective."

Clarke added: "I am looking forward to joining a global consultancy like Watson Wyatt, particularly at such an exciting time for pensions globally."
