GLOBAL - Hermes, Schroders, FSA, TPR, F&C, HSBC, APG AM, ICFR, GAD, BSAM, Aviva Investors, Chi-X, Governance for Owners, Adveq, Etienne Rougier, Sackers
Hermes - Jonathan Pines has been appointed director of global emerging markets equities, in a newly-created role. He joins from RAB Capital, where he was joint manager of the global emerging markets fund.
Schroders - Margaret de Valois has been appointed client director responsible for managing some of Schroders UK institutional clients in a newly created role. She joined from the corporate consulting actuarial team at HSBC.
Financial Services Authority (FSA) - Hugh Stevenson has been named chairman of the committee of non-executive directors, having been a non-executive director at the FSA since 2004. The Board also announced plans to recruit two new non-executive directors.
The Pensions Regulator (TPR) - John Scampion has been reappointed as chair of the Pensions Regulator's Determinations Panel for another four years from 6 April 2009.
F&C - Michael Heemelaar has been appointed head of global credit and will be based in Amsterdam, where he will lead a team of five portfolio managers and one portfolio analyst. He joins from Aegon Asset management, where he was head of investment grade credit.
HSBC Global Asset Management - Chris Gower has been appointed head of European consultant relations to extend the firm's consultant services. Gower will retain his current role as head of UK consultant relations and will report to Barbara Rupf Bee, global head of institutional sales.
APG Asset Management - Wim Hazeleger is to join as general counsel of APG Asset Management Asia and will be based at the Hong Kong office. Hazeleger is currently counsellor in the capital markets department and head of the financial markets and investment management group for Linklaters LLP.
International Centre for Financial Regulation (ICFR) - David Currie has been appointed chairman with immediate effect. He will help direct the ICFR's strategy and establish relations with potential stakeholders worldwide. Currie has served as chairman of the communications regulator Ofcom since July 2002 and is due to step down this month.
Government Actuary's Department (GAD) - Alan Dorn has joined the team providing advice to government and public sector pensions. Prior to joining GAD, Dorn worked at Watson Wyatt as an actuary and pension consultant.
Blue Sky Asset Management (BSAM) - Chris Gillam has been named business development manager with immediate effect. Gillam joins from Cazenove Capital Management, where he was UK key account manager in its specialist investment division since 2005.
Aviva Investors - Alfonso del Moral has been appointed as country head of Spain and Portugal and will be in charge of the firm's business planning and development for both countries. Del Moral previously worked for Schroders as head of institutional clients for Spain. David Hillier has been appointed as senior economist for the investment strategy team. Hillier, previously chief UK economist for Barclays Capital, will report to Adrian Jarvis, investment strategy director.
Chi-X Europe - Mark Howarth has been named interim chief executive officer (CEO) following Peter Randall's decision to leave the firm to spend more time with his family. Howarth has worked as chief operating officer (COO) for Asia Pacific at Chi-X Global over the past year.
Governance for Owners (GO) - Gavin Morris has joined as managing director and will work with the investment team to improve GO's portfolio companies. Morris was previously group finance director for DS Smith plc.
Adveq - Darren Wong and Tim Creed have been appointed executive directors. Wong, who previously worked for HRJ Capital, will join the firm's Beijing office on 1 April and oversee Adveq's Asian fund of funds. Creed, who is currently responsible for Adveq's European fund of funds, was promoted from vice president to executive director in January.
Etienne Rougier has been named director of business development to cover the UK and continental Europe markets. Rougier joined Architas in March 2008 as chief operating officer (COO) and head of European business development from AXA Investment Managers. Rougier will maintain his role as COO.
Sacker & Partners LLP - Kate Dale has joined as business development coordinator from Stephenson Harwood.
