GLOBAL - Allianz Global Investors, Catella Corporate Finance, Invesco Perpetual, FFTW, Kirstein
Allianz Global Investors - Piet Molenaar has been named head of fiduciary management for the Benelux and Nordic region, assuming the position from next month. Based in the company's Rotterdam office, Molenaar will report to AGI's head of pensions Andreas Hilka. He joins from Pensioenfonds Stork, where as chief investment officer he oversaw its recent transfer to metal industry scheme PME.
Kirstein Finans - Bertel Roslev Rasmussen has been appointed head of department for investment consultancy and pensions at Kirstein, the Copenhagen-based adviser. Rasmussen has been an investment analyst at the firm since 2007. In the new role, he joins the management team, which includes CEO Jesper Kirstein as well as Nikolaj Eriksen, Jan Willers and Anne Mette Lytzen. Rasmussen replaces Thomas Gelting, who has set up Gelting Finans - a firm Kirstein works with on individual cases.
Invesco Perpetual - Simon Clinch, most recently investment manager at J Rothschild Capital Management, will join Invesco Perpetual as US equity fund manager early next month, reporting to head of US equities Simon Laing. Clinch began his career at Vencap International and has since worked at Aberdeen Asset Management as part of the US equities team, as well as focusing on the region while at F&C Asset Management. Invesco also announced the hire of Rob Barrett, joining as head of UK institutional sales based in London. Barrett has previously worked at HSBC Global Asset Management, as well as JP Morgan and UBS.
MN - The Dutch fiduciary manager has named Praveen Joseph as investment strageist for its UK business. Joseph joins from TwoPi Capital where he was macro-economic and quantitative strategies analyst and has previously worked as senior associate for global commodities at JP Morgan.
Fischer Francis Trees & Watts - The fixed income manager has promoted its head of portfolio management Alex Johnson to co-head of global fixed income to work alongside Dave Marmon, who currently holds the position. Johnson will retain his previous responsibilities for portfolio management, having rejoined FFTW in 2010.
Catella Corporate Finance - Parent company of the Swedish asset manager and property developer has announced that Lennart Schuss will step down as chairman of the board in August this year. His departure follows a gradual reduction in Schuss's responsibilities that saw him last year retire from his role at Catella AB. Anders Palmgren, who heads up the company's corporate finance operations, will replace Schuss.
