M&G Investments – Anne Richards has been appointed chief executive at M&G, the UK and European asset management arm of Prudential. She joins from Aberdeen Asset Management, where she had served as CIO. Andrew McCaffery, currently global head of alternatives at Aberdeen, will take over Richards’s role as head of the Solutions business, covering multi-asset, alternatives and quantitative investment capabilities. Andrew Laing, Aberdeen’s deputy chief executive, will take over responsibility for EMEA operations. At M&G, Richards succeeds Michael McLintock, who is to retire this year.
PIMCO – Craig Dawson has been promoted to head of the Europe, Middle East and Africa region. Bill Benz, the current head of EMEA, is to retire in June after a 30-year career at the company. Dawson had been managing director and head of PIMCO’s Strategic Business Management division.
Schroders – Stefan Krause has been appointed portfolio manager on the convertible bond team. He joins from Man Investments, where he managed the Man Convertibles Europe Fund. Before then, he was a portfolio manager at Warburg Invest.
UK Pensions Advisory Service – Museji Ahmed Takolia has been appointed chair. He joins from the National Employment Savings Trust (NEST), where he was chair of the Members Panel, succeeding Geoff Shanks, who stands down on 31 January.
Capital Group – Christophe Braun has been appointed as an investment manager. He joins from CBP Quilvest in Luxembourg, where he was a portfolio manager and investment adviser. Before then, he was an investment representative at TD Direct Investing International.
Fieldfisher – The European law firm has appointed Andrew Patten as a director. He joins from Dentons, where he advised defined benefit pension funds and schemes in the SME market.
