PFA, PenSam, AP4, SPP, PBU, Aviva Investors, Legal & General Investment Management, AXA, INDEFI, Candriam Investors Group, Viego Eiris, Manifest, IFM Investors, Bank of America Merrill Lynch
PFA – Torben Dalby Larsen has been voted in as chairman of PFA’s supervisory board, replacing Svend Askær, who is stepping down after being in the role since 1999. Niels-Ulrik Mousten and Peter Ibsen have been voted in as deputy chairmen. Dalby Larsen, who has been deputy chairman of the supervisory board at the Danish pensions group since 2015, is chief executive and editor in chief of media group Sjællandske Medier. Of the two deputy chairmen, Mousten is new to the board and is a director of Netsuom Aps. He was previously chief executive at Danske Capital. Ibsen has been a member of the PFA supervisory board since 2008. Lasse Grønbech and Lone Engberg Thomsen were also voted in as members of the supervisory board at the group’s general meeting.
PenSam – Morten Hemmingsen has been named the pension provider’s director of investments, replacing outgoing CIO Benny Buchardt Andersen. Hemmingsen was previously the provider’s head of fixed income and equities. He was promoted at the beginning of May.
AP4 – Sarah McPhee has been named chair of the Swedish buffer fund, replacing Monica Caneman. McPhee was previously chief executive at insurer SPP, and spent four years as CIO at AMF. Before then, she was head of ALM at AP4.
PBU – Sune Schackenfeldt has been named chief executive of the Danish pension fund for education practitioners, joining from PFA Pension, where he was a director. Schackenfeldt replaces outgoing chief executive Leif Brask-Rasmussen.
Aviva Investors – Helen Driver has been named fund manager in the global equities team. Based in London, she joins from Legal & General Investment Management, where she was a fund manager. She has also worked at Standard Life Investments and is currently a member of the Asset & Liabilities Committee at the Social Investment Business.
AXA – Angelien Kemna, chief finance and risk officer at APG, has been elected to the French insurer’s board. Kemna is also a board member at APG and was previously its CIO, joining after five years as chief executive of ING Investment Management Europe, where she spent three years until 2004 as director of investments.
INDEFI – Ric van Weelden has joined the strategy consulting firm as senior adviser. Van Weelden has previously worked for Candriam Investors Group, where he was global head of client relations, and chief executive of Janus Capital International.
Viego Eiris – Paul Hewitt has been named senior business development manager, joining after 12 years at Manifest. Hewitt began his career running European Social Fund projects at Southend Borough Council and Harlow District Council, before moving to Manifest. He also sits on the Pension Board of Essex County Council.
IFM Investors – Alex Joiner has been named chief economist, a newly created role. Joiner previously worked as chief economist at Bank of America Merrill Lynch in Australia, and has also worked at ANZ Bank. He will join IFM in July, reporting to chief commercial officer Joshua Lim.
