Hewitt - Anthony Ashton, head of global client development at investment consultancy Hewitt, has resigned. He will leave the company at the end of this week. No direct replacement has been found yet. "He will take some time out before considering his opportunities," a spokesman said.

Credit Suisse - Former Norwich Union Life chief executive, Gary Withers has been appointed at replacement for outgoing vice-chairman and head of asset management for EMEA, Mark Burgess. He will be based in London and joins on May 1.

Ethos - Jacques-André Schneider, one of the founding members of the CHF2.4bn (€1.5bn) Swiss socially-responsible manager has, after a decade, stepped down as president of both Ethos Services and the Ethos foundation. Basel-based vice president Kaspar Müller will take over, and will in turn be replaced by Jacque Zwahlen, currently at Veillon Immobilière.

Aon Consulting - Robert Middleton, head of Aon's UK operation, has been promoted to the new position of chief executive officer for Europe, Middle East, Africa (EMEA) and the UK. "The creation of the EMEA & UK area is part of Aon Consulting's strategy to streamline its global operations to maximise growth opportunities." At the company's US division, Susan Alford, until recently regional director of the Southeast operating unit for its employee benefits consulting group, will head the US-based national defined contribution practice.

Pearl Group - Terry Eccles, former vice-chairman of JP Morgan Cazenove, has joined Pearl, manager of closed life insurance assets, as director of M&A. Eccles will work part-time at the company.

Invesco Perpetual - Kathryn Langridge, head of international equities at Invesco, has resigned to join Lloyd George Management. Chief investment officer, Bob Yerbury will take over responsibility for asset allocation on the company's international funds.

Governance for Owners - Christy Wood, senior investment officer at CalPERS, and Bruno Allmendinger, chief financial officer and member of the executive committee of Swiss-listed machinery manufacturer Sulzer, have joined the partnership's advisory board, brining the executive and advisory team to 38.

F&C Investments - Erik Rubingh, former head of global quantitative strategies at giant Dutch pension fund ABP, will develop an active quantitative strategies capability at the London-based fund manager.

Colliers Capital UK - Elliot Caldwell, formerly with ING Real Estate Investment Management UK, has been appointed chief executive of Colliers Capital UK, Colliers CRE's new fund management business.

Threadneedle Investments - Fund manager Richard House, previously with Wadhwani Asset Management, will join the London-based emerging markets fixed income team, which manages nearly $1bn in emerging market debt assets.

First State Investments - Stephen Vineburg, currently head of infrastructure at First State, the international operation of Colonial First State Global Asset Management, is moving from Australia to the UK to head the new European diversified infrastructure fund.
