Henderson Global Investors - Seb Beloe has joined the firm's sustainable and responsible investment (SRI) business, which currently manages over £1bn, as head of SRI research. He joins Henderson from SustainAbility Ltd UK where he was vice president for research and advocacy.
F&C - Ben Kramer, currently head of distribution and business development at Lombard Odier Darier Hentsch, is set to join F&C's Netherlands operation as head of distribution and business development. He is accompanied by LOHD colleague Rob Geeraets, who will become sales director.
Since 2005 Mr. Kramer has been Head of Institutional Relationship Management and Business Development and a member of the management team at LODH. At LODH Mr. Kramer was responsible for the successful distribution of a range of investment capabilities including fixed income, quant equities, alternatives, GTAA and Liability Driven Investments. Prior to this he spent six years at KAS Bank with responsibility for sales and acquisitions, latterly in the role of Head of European Institutional Sales.
In his role as Head of Distribution and Business Development (Netherlands) Mr. Kramer will report to Cristobal Mendez de Vigo, Head of Distribution and Business Development.
Punter Southall - Gerry Devenney has joined the firm's Edinburgh office as principal from HSBC Actuaries and Consultants Limited.
Northern Trust - Northern Trust has strengthened its client relationship management and sales teams for the Nordic market. JPMorgan's Neill McVity and Northern Trust's Jane Porter will work as senior relationship managers. London-based Joanie Stringer, who moved from Northern Trust Bank in New York, has been appointed as Nordic sales manager, all within Northern Trust's asset servicing group. These appointments follow that of Jeremy Biggs, from HSBC, who was appointed as a senior relationship manager covering the Nordic and Dutch markets for Northern Trust's investment management business, Northern Trust Global Investments Limited (NTGIL), earlier this year.
Moreover, Sue Baines was promoted to head of Global Fund Services (GFS) sales for Europe, Middle East and Africa, and John Grundy, from Thomson Financial, as GFS hedge funds sales manager.
Fidelity International - Charlie Forbes, joining from UBS Global Asset Management, has started at the company's institutional consultant relations team reporting to Mark Miller, head of business development & consultant relations, UK defined benefits business.
T. Rowe Price - Nick Trueman has left Axa Rosenberg to join the global consultant relations team. He will be based in London.
Mercer - David Levey will replace Charles Nelson as UK head of Mercer's health and benefits business. Levey was previously head of the health and benefits northern region. Nelson who has moved to a global position involving overall strategy, development of global businesses, and marketing for Mercer's health and benefits business.
Investec Asset Management - US-based Richard Garland, formerly the company's managing director for mutual funds (Americas), has been appointed managing director, international distribution with immediate effect.
Barrie and Hibbert - The Edinburgh-based financial risk consultants has nabbed Standard Life's David Macmillan as chief executive. It is a new role - the company's two founders, Andrew Barrie and John Hibbert were executive directors before Macmillan's appointment.
Cohen & Steer - Celine Donnet is leaving her role as a sell-side real estate financial analyst at Petercam to join Cohen & Steer as as research analyst. Based in London, she will cover the UK, Belgium and France, working alongside Jesse Freitag-Akselrod who moved from the Brussels office to research corporate companies in Central/Eastern Europe and Germany, Luke Sullivan who covers the UK and Australia and Gustaf Colliander who covers listed real estate companies in Scandinavia and Benelux.
