GLOBAL - OTP, Axa, SEB, Watson Wyatt, Aberdeen, MFS, Partners Group.

OTP - Hungary's largest pension fund has appointed László Urbán as deputy chief executive of OTP Bank Ltd, and the chairman of the board of directors at OTP Mandatory and Voluntary Pension Funds. Istvan Hamecz has also been appointed CEO of OTP Fund Management. Both previously worked at the National Bank of Hungary.

AXA Investment Managers - New Star's Theodora Zemek has been appointed global head of fixed income, based in London. She will take up her new role in March 2008 and will be a member of the executive committee of AXA Investment Managers. New Star promoted James Gledhill to replace Zemek "with immediate effect".
 
SEB - Juergen Baudisch, client executive within large corporation CRM in Germany, has been promoted to head SEB's Polish business. He took up the new position on December 1.

Watson Wyatt - Michael Chatterton, previously with Bacon & Woodrow, Arthur Andersen and Black Mountain in New York, has started as a senior consultant within the corporate consulting group's benefits practice in Reigate.

Aberdeen Asset Management - Gary Bartlett will take over from Steve Ilott as head of fixed income in January 2008. Ilott is now in discussions with Aberdeen about the establishment of a new alternative asset management business.

MFS International - HSBC Investments' Alan Dupierre will head the company's new Paris office. He will cover the French institutional and wholesale markets.

Partners Group - Erik Kaas will join the business development Committee, while Stefan Näf will take over from Kaas on the executive board and as co-head markets from January. Also, Philipp Gysler, currently head private alternative investment strategies, will move to the Asia/Mid-East team. He will remain on the executive board and will be stationed in Singapore as of mid-2008. Stephan Schäli will represent the private alternative investment strategies department on the executive board from January 1. Additionally, Pam Alsterlind, co-head private real estate investment management, and Henning Eckermann, chief economist, Nan Leake, senior investment professional in the private real estate team, were promoted to partner. Reto Schwager, responsible for distribution partners in the markets team, Marc Weiss, senior investment professional in the real estate team, and Cyrill Wipfli, business strategy & corporate development, were all promoted to principal.
