PGGM - Alex van der Velden is the newly appointed head of sustainable investment strategies, joining from the London based FairPensions, an NGO that promotes responsible investing.
Allianz Global Investors - AGI is increasing Pimco's presence on its board. Matthieu Louanges has stepped up to theboard, responsible for fixed income portfolio management. This will not affecthis managerial position in European portfolio management of Pimco.Frank Witt, Pimco's head of business development for bondfund management, Germany and Austria, has also joined the board, where heis responsible for product policy in fixed-income.Thomas Linker will, subject to the approval of the regulators, assumeresponsibility as a general manager for handling the sales partnerswithin the Allianz Group. In the last two years, Linker has beenresponsible for sales and marketing on DEGI's board.
The Pensions Regulator (UK) - Laurie Edmans has been reappointed as a non-executive director of the Pensions Regulator. He has already served for three years as a non-executive director and previously held a position on the former UK Occupational Pensions Regulatory Authority.
Russell Investments - F&C's Davina Curling is the new managing director, head of European equities.
State Street Global Advisors - Christos Koutsoyannis has left Old Mutual to become a senior portfolio manager at the investment management arm of State Street Corporation. He will join the active European equity team.
Watson Wyatt Worldwide - Carl Mautz has stepped down as vice president and chief financial officer. Mautz plans to retire in August 2008.
Pioneer Investments - Fabien Madar (pictured), previously managing director of ING Investment Management's French business, joins as general manager for France, based in Paris. He will also be in charge of distribution activities in Belgium, Luxembourg, and Monaco. He is replacing Marc Olivier, who left last year.
Universities Superannuation Scheme - The UK pension fund is looking for a private equity analyst to its alternatives team to assist with manager selection by providing quantitative analysis of performance and risk analysis.
Axa Investment Managers - The company has added three members to its fund of hedge funds business division. Rajiv Jaitly recently joined from Banco Santander as chief operating officer, Sharmila Soosaipillai, also from Santander, as senior operational due diligence analyst and Lehman Brothers' Shiblee Alam as product specialist for hedge funds.
Invesco - Michele Serrao and Evan Darr, both at Atlantic Trust, have joined the private equity fund of funds team. Both Serrao and Darr will focus on sourcing and analyzing partnership opportunities.
Capita Hartshead - SBC's Girish Menezes and Hewitt's Tony Moriarty have started as business development managers. Both will have a national role, focusing on third-party pension administration (TPA) business development in the UK.
