F&C Investments - Julian Lyne has been hired as head of global consultants in London, joining from HSBC Investments where he served as head of global consultants relations. With the appointment F&C wants to develop its presence in the third-party institutional market.
The Bank of New York Mellon - Scott Posner has been promoted to chief executive officer of the global corporate trust business. He will succeed and report to Karen Peetz, who has been promoted to chief executive officer of issuer, treasury and broker-dealer services, effective July 1.
Blue Sky Asset Management - James Chu, co-founder and principal shareholder of BSAM, has joined the London office as managing director and chief investment officer.
Legal & General Investment Management - Mark Zinkula has been named as chief executive of the US business (LGIMA). He has been an independent director of LGIMA since its inception in 2006, and he joins from Cornell College where he was treasurer and chief financial officer.
RREEF Alternative Investments - Susan Barlow will join the firm as a managing director and head of global client relations, based in New York. Most recently, she was a co-founder of American Value Partners, an institutional real estate fund of funds.
Strategeon Investment Consultancy - Harold Clijsen has joined the Amsterdam-based firm as senior consultant. He will advise Dutch pension funds on their strategic investment policy and will support the implementation and monitoring. He previously worked for Syntrus Achmea Asset Management as director of fixed income and treasury.
Pimco - Krishna Prasad, Ana Cortes Gonzalez and Julia Kelting all have been hired to work within Pimco's European asset-backed security (ABS) business. Prasad joins as senior vice president and senior ABS portfolio manager from Lehman Brothers, and Cortes Gonzalez arrives from Commerzbank as vice president and ABS portfolio manager, while both are based in London. Kelting joins as an analyst and portfolio manager, based in Munich. She joins from Cambridge Place Investment Management in London.
Barnett Waddingham - Andrew Roberts, Ed Spencer and Nick Griggs were promoted to partners earlier this week. Barnett Waddingham has also promoted David Bailey (London), David Connell (London), Stuart Daly (Bromsgrove), Mark Futcher (Amersham), Vanessa Smart (Amersham), Carol Gilbert (Cheltenham) and Paul Higgs (Cheltenham) to associates.
Henderson Global Investors - Kay Jackson has been promoted to head of asset management for its sector specialist pan-European retail property fund, HERALD.
SNS Reaal - Ronald Latenstein van Voorst will succeed Sjoerd van Keulen as chairman of the board of commissioners of the Dutch bank insurer. He is currently chief financial officer (CFO) within the managing board.
Loyalis - Ruud Mesters has been promoted to chairman of the executive board of Loyalis, the insurance subsidiary of APG Group in The Netherlands. Mesters will take up his new position as soon as the expected merger between APG Group and Coraders has been completed in mid-2008. Mesters will take over from Simon van Driel.
Schroders - Thomas Schalow has joined from Dow Jones News in Frankfurt where he was responsible for marketing and distribution. He is named as the new head of marketing for Germany and Austria, to temporarily replace Nicol Teixeira in Frankfurt during her maternity leave.
